Malaysian Government scholarship for Master students The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Program (MTCP) was established in 1980 as Malaysia’s commitment to South-South Cooperation through the sharing of Malaysia’s development experiences and expertise with other developing countries.The objectives of the MTCP are:To share the experience with other developing countries;To strengthen bilateral ties with developing countries;To encourage and promote South-South Cooperation; andTo encourage and promote technical cooperation within developing countries.MTCP is premised on the principle that the development of a country is dependent on the quality of its human capital and resources. MTCP emphasizes on human resources development mainly through training and capacity-building courses including short-term courses at Malaysian public and private training institutions, and long-term courses at Malaysian public universities.Annually, Malaysia's flagship MTCP offers more than 60 technical training and capacity-building programmes in vast areas of development to developing countries in collaboration with leading local training institutions and international development partners. To date, more than 34,500 participants from 144 developing countries have benefited from the various programmes offered under the MTCP.The MTCP Scholarship is sponsored by the Malaysian government and is dedicated to international students from the developing world to pursue their postgraduate studies in Malaysia, whilst at the same time acquire the necessary knowledge and skills that could contribute to the development of their home country. Queen Mary University of London invites applications for a full PhD Scholarship starting in January 2022 (or as soon as possible thereafter) to undertake research in the area of Resource Management for Edge/Serverless Computing.Recent technological developments and paradigms such as Serverless computing, Internet of Things (IoT), and processing at the network edge, bring new opportunities for Cloud computing. However, they also pose several new challenges and create the need for new approaches and research strategies, as well to revisit the models that were developed to address issues such as scalability, elasticity, reliability, latency, sustainability. Emerging technologies such as Edge and Serverless Computing and the IoT present new challenges which cannot be easily met by current resource provisioning and scheduling techniques, frameworks and mechanisms. Our future research aims to develop systems using the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) techniques which will be capable of supporting these technologies to meet the requirements of modern IoT applications.About this Scholarship This studentship will explore the intersection of Edge/Serverless and ML/AI for modern IoT applications. The scope of the project is quite broad. Building upon the deep domain expertise that Knight-Hennessy Scholars develop in their home departments, scholars gain exposure to a wide range of disciplines and cultures in the Knight-Hennessy community, and participate in the King Global Leadership Program (KGLP), which is designed to develop transformational leadership capabilities. Within KGLP, scholars collaborate and begin to address important challenges facing the world, such as climate change, healthcare inequity, the future of education, and criminal justice reform.Funding: As a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, you receive funding for up to three years for any graduate degree(s) at Stanford to which you are admitted at the time you are selected as a scholar.After enrolling at Stanford, if you wish to enroll in an additional graduate program, you may apply to the Knight-Hennessy Scholars program to receive additional funding up to the maximum of three years. Banach Scholarship Programme

About the Lund University Global Scholarship programmeApproximately SEK 15 million (€1.4 million / US $1,7 million) awarded in scholarship grants each yearA selective, merit-based scholarship to recognise top academic students from outside the EU/EEAAs a top 100 university and ranked in the top 0.4% of universities in the world, Lund University attracts high achieving students from across the globe. The Lund University Global Scholarship programme seeks to recognise these students by awarding academic excellence grants.Scholarship recipients have a proven record of achieving consistently high grades in their previous studies and are assessed as being a good fit for our programmes. The scholarship is selective, competitive and merit-based.Scholarship grants may cover 25%, 50%, 75% or up to 100% of the tuition fee. The scholarship percentage awarded depends on budget available to the programme/faculty. It has no reflection on the students' academic level of excellence.  Please note that scholarships are toward tuition fees only and that living costs are not covered.
