Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the Cost Manager in preparing and analyzing initial project cost estimates.
• Assist in the preparation of tender documents and the analysis of contractor bids.
• Monitor actual project costs against the approved budget, identifying variances.
• Prepare regular cost status, expenditure, and financial performance reports for management.
• Contribute to quantity surveying activities and review contractor payment applications (interim valuations).
• Collaborate closely with design, project teams, and contractors to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Assist in identifying potential financial risks and proposing mitigation solutions.
• Maintain the accuracy and integrity of all project-related financial data and records.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Structural), Architecture, or a related Quantity/Cost Management field.
• 3 to 5 years of practical experience in cost management or quantity surveying, with a strong preference for experience on major infrastructure or aviation projects (airports, terminals, logistics support facilities).
• Solid knowledge of cost management principles and practices within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in specialized software, including advanced MS Excel and cost management tools (e.g., CostX, Candy, or similar).
• A good understanding of common construction contract forms (e.g., FIDIC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills are a significant advantage.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in all work.
