Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager will play a pivotal role in managing and operating the housekeeping department. Working closely with the Department Head, they will lead a team of dedicated staff and ensure the efficiency of all daily operations. The core responsibilities of this position include:

• Operational Supervision: Assisting in the daily planning, organization, and supervision of all housekeeping activities for guest rooms, public areas, and events.
• Quality Management: Conducting regular and surprise inspections of rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure strict adherence to the cleanliness, safety, and quality standards set by hotel management and the Tivoli brand.
• Team Leadership: Directly supervising floor supervisors and housekeeping attendants, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance their performance and motivation.
• Inventory Control: Assisting in monitoring stock levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linens (bedding, towels), ensuring timely ordering while controlling costs.
• Communication & Coordination: Acting as an effective liaison between the Housekeeping department and other departments such as Front Office, Maintenance, and F&B to ensure smooth workflow and a flawless guest experience.
• Training & Development: Contributing to the development and implementation of training programs for housekeeping staff to enhance their skills and knowledge of hotel standards.
• Problem-Solving: Addressing any guest complaints or issues related to cleanliness or housekeeping services promptly and professionally, taking immediate corrective action.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in hotel housekeeping, with proven experience in a supervisory role (e.g., Floor Supervisor or Housekeeping Supervisor). Experience in 5-star or luxury hotels is a significant advantage.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of hotel housekeeping operations and procedures, cleanliness, health, and safety standards, and the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with excellent communication and delegation skills.
• Organizational Skills: High level of attention to detail and organization, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Personal Attributes: Proactive, reliable, flexible, and able to work under pressure while maintaining a professional and positive demeanor.
• Language: Strong command of spoken and written English. Knowledge of Arabic or other languages is an additional advantage.
