Assistant Manager, Internal Audit at ROSHN

Job Overview
The Assistant Manager, Internal Audit will be appointed within ROSHN's independent and effective internal audit function. The role will be central to supporting the independent and objective assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Group's internal control, risk management, and governance processes. The successful candidate will work closely with Internal Audit management to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulations, and international standards, thereby enhancing transparency and safeguarding company assets.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Assist in planning and executing comprehensive internal audit engagements across various operational and functional units within the ROSHN Group.
- Conduct operational risk assessments and contribute to the development of annual audit plans based on risk evaluation.
- Examine and analyze financial and operational records, testing the effectiveness of internal control procedures.
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports containing observations and practical recommendations to address identified control gaps.
- Follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure proper closure of action items.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Internal Audit department's processes and working manuals.
- Stay abreast of changes in local and international regulatory standards and best practices in internal auditing.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Finance, Operations, Compliance) to provide value-adding advisory insights.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A professional certification (e.g., CIA, CPA, ACCA) is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of practical experience in internal or external auditing, with some experience in a supervisory or lead role.
- Prior experience in the real estate development, construction, or a similar sector is a strong competitive advantage.
- Deep knowledge of internal audit principles and frameworks (e.g., IIA Standards), risk management, and internal control (COSO).
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements in the Kingdom.
- Excellent analytical and investigative skills with the ability to identify root causes of issues.
- Superior written and verbal communication and reporting skills in both Arabic and English.
- High integrity, objectivity, and the ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Proficiency in computer applications and Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs).
