Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Assistant Restaurant Manager will support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily operations with high efficiency. Core responsibilities include:

  • Operational Supervision: Assisting in managing all aspects of restaurant operations during assigned shifts, including opening and closing procedures, and ensuring readiness for service.
  • Guest Service: Ensuring an exceptional level of guest service that aligns with Hilton's global standards. Addressing guest feedback and concerns promptly and professionally to guarantee complete satisfaction.

  • Communication & Coordination: Acting as an effective liaison between restaurant management, kitchen staff (chefs), and other hotel departments such as accommodations and conferences to ensure seamless service coordination.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this role in a competitive market like Kuwait, you should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience: Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role within a hotel restaurant or an upscale food & beverage establishment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in international hotels.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of restaurant operations, including service procedures, food safety standards, and fundamentals of cost and inventory control.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
  • Service Orientation: A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest service and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
