Assistant Tendering Manager - Civil Maintenance Division
Almoayyed Contracting Group is actively recruiting for an Assistant Tendering Manager to join its Civil Maintenance Division in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This position is a critical component of the business development cycle, focusing on the preparation and submission of competitive bids for civil maintenance and infrastructure projects.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing the end-to-end tendering process in close coordination with the division's team and senior management. Core responsibilities include:
- Technical & Commercial Bid Preparation: Leading and coordinating the preparation of comprehensive and competitive tender submissions for civil maintenance projects, from the receipt of tender documents to the final bid submission.
- Tender Document Analysis: Meticulously studying contract requirements, technical specifications, and tender conditions to identify key requirements and potential risks.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Acting as the liaison between engineering, planning, procurement, finance, and HR departments to gather all necessary data and inputs for accurate bid formulation.
- Cost Estimation: Assisting in developing precise cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, and overheads, utilizing feasibility studies and market price analysis.
- Proposal Drafting: Writing and editing the technical and methodological sections of proposals, highlighting the company's expertise and capabilities in civil facility maintenance.
- Contract Review: Assisting in the review of draft contracts and negotiating terms prior to final signing.
- Database Management: Maintaining an organized database of past tenders, suppliers, material prices, and other relevant information to support decision-making.
- Quality & Compliance Assurance: Ensuring all submitted bids comply with the company's internal standards, client requirements, and applicable regulatory policies in Bahrain.
Qualifications & Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A higher degree or professional certifications in Contract Management or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- Work Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of proven experience in tendering and bid preparation within the contracting sector, with a strong preference for experience in Civil Maintenance or infrastructure projects. Previous experience working with leading contractors in the Gulf region is a significant plus.
- Technical Skills: Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word), and good knowledge of cost estimation software and common engineering applications.
- Personal Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent time-management and ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team as well as independently.
- Sound understanding of the financial and legal aspects related to contracts and tenders.
