Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Automation Test Lead will play a pivotal role in leading and directing quality assurance and test automation efforts for assigned projects. The primary responsibilities will include:

• Leadership & Strategic Planning: Lead the automation testing team, and develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy aligned with project goals and global quality standards.
• Framework Design & Implementation: Design, build, and maintain advanced and efficient test automation frameworks, ensuring their seamless integration within CI/CD pipelines.
• Test Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire test automation lifecycle, including authoring test scripts, execution, results analysis, and generating detailed quality reports.
• Quality & Efficiency Assurance: Monitor and improve the efficiency of testing processes, ensure comprehensive test coverage, and mitigate defects before production deployment.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, software developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Mentorship & Development: Guide, mentor, and train team members on best practices and the latest test automation tools and technologies.
• Tool Management: Evaluate, select, and manage appropriate test automation tools to meet project needs.

Qualifications and Core Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
• Leadership Experience: Proven experience of at least 3 years in leading and managing test automation teams.
• Advanced Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Practical experience with programming languages like Java, Python, or C#.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI.
  • Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/Scrum).
  • Experience in API Testing using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, leadership and team motivation skills, and a keen attention to detail.
