Automotive Electrician Job in Kuwait

Job Description and Responsibilities

The appointed Automotive Electrician will be based in Shuwaikh and will be responsible for a range of precise technical tasks, including:

• Diagnosing complex faults in vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
• Repairing and maintaining electrical circuits, ignition systems, and charging systems (alternators, dynamos).
• Inspecting and repairing interior and exterior lighting systems (flashers, lamps, signals).
• Installing and maintaining audio/video systems and electrical aftermarket accessories.
• Troubleshooting electronic engine control units (ECUs) and auxiliary systems like Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS) and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
• Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Using specialized diagnostic tools and modern equipment for fault detection.
• Performing routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
• Providing clear reports on vehicle condition, faults diagnosed, and repairs carried out.
• Strictly adhering to occupational health and safety standards in the workplace.

Qualifications and Key Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A certificate or diploma in Automotive Electricity or Automotive Mechanics with a focus on electrical systems from a recognized technical institute or training center.
• Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years as an Automotive Electrician, with preference given to experience in authorized workshops or service centers.
• In-depth knowledge of both conventional and modern vehicle electrical systems, including petrol and diesel engines.
• The ability to diagnose faults accurately using technical logic and appropriate tools.
• Proficiency in using multimeters, diagnostic scan tools, and electrical welding equipment.
• Knowledge of safety fundamentals when working with high-current circuits and batteries.
• Good command of the English language to understand technical manuals and commonly used technical terminology.
• A valid driver's license is preferred.
• Personal Skills: Accuracy, reliability, teamwork, good communication, and a willingness for continuous learning.
