Job Description and Responsibilities

Key expected responsibilities include:

• Setup and Operation: Setting up, operating, and maintaining a wide range of audio and video (A/V) equipment before, during, and after events or meetings. This includes projectors, displays, sound systems, microphones, and video conferencing systems.
• Live Technical Support: Providing direct technical support to end-users during meetings, presentations, and events to ensure they are free from technical issues.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Performing routine inspections of equipment to identify potential faults and proactively troubleshoot and resolve technical issues or escalate them as necessary.
• Inventory Management: Assisting in managing equipment inventory, ensuring it is safe, clean, and available when needed.
• Collaboration: Working closely with other teams such as Information Technology (IT) and event coordination to successfully execute technical requirements.
• Compliance: Ensuring all setups and operations comply with the company's established safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Skills

To be a successful candidate for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Educational Qualification: A diploma or certificate in a related field such as Electrical Engineering, Audiovisual Technology, Information Technology, or a similar technical field. Formal education may be substituted with extensive and proven practical experience.
• Practical Experience: Previous hands-on experience (typically at least 1 year) in a similar role as an AV Technician or in a technical support field. Experience in a corporate, hotel, or conference center environment is a strong advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Deep practical knowledge of operating and maintaining common AV equipment (microphones, sound mixers, projectors, LCD/LED displays, video conferencing systems).
  • Basic understanding of analog and digital signals, cabling, and connectors (e.g., HDMI, VGA, XLR, USB).
  • Ability to read simple technical schematics or installation drawings.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Arabic and English preferred).
  • Ability to work under pressure and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Other Requirements: The role may require standing for extended periods, lifting light to moderately heavy equipment, and flexibility in working hours to support evening or weekend events when necessary.
