Bodyshop Manager Job in Riyadh

Job Description and Responsibilities
The Bodyshop Manager will bear the overall responsibility for the efficient and profitable management and operation of the auto body repair facility. Key responsibilities include:
- Full Operational Oversight: Direct management of all daily workshop operations, including vehicle intake, damage assessment, body repairs, painting (refinishing) work, final quality inspection, and vehicle delivery to customers.
- Technical Leadership & Team Management: Leading and guiding a technical team comprising body and paint technicians. Responsible for their training, skill development, and ensuring their adherence to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Quality Assurance: Ensuring all repairs are executed according to vehicle manufacturer specifications and the highest professional standards, to achieve complete customer satisfaction and maintain the workshop's reputation.
- Resource & Inventory Management: Overseeing inventory of spare parts, raw materials (like paint and chemicals), and equipment. Ensuring part availability while controlling costs and minimizing waste.
- Customer Service & Relations: Directly interacting with customers, understanding their requirements, providing accurate estimates, explaining repair processes, and ensuring an exceptional customer service experience to foster loyalty and reputation.
- Financial & Administrative Duties: Contributing to budgeting, monitoring revenue and expenses, and improving profitability. Preparing administrative reports on workshop performance, productivity, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring the workshop's compliance with all local health and safety regulations, and environmental regulations related to chemical waste disposal.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent extensive proven practical experience may be considered.
- Practical Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in auto body repair and painting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role (as Workshop Manager or Senior Foreman).
- In-Depth Technical Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of modern auto body repair processes (including aluminum frames and EVs), paint systems, and the use of advanced measuring and repair equipment.
- Leadership & Managerial Skills: Proven ability to lead, motivate a technical team, manage conflicts, and implement training and development programs.
- Financial & Commercial Acumen: Basic understanding of cost control, pricing, and interpreting financial reports to make decisions that enhance workshop profitability.
- Communication & Language Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Arabic is essential. Knowledge of the English language is a strong advantage.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel), and workshop management software (if applicable).
