Job Overview

The Business Improvement Head will be responsible for leading and implementing comprehensive strategies to improve and develop all aspects of the Society's operations. This critical role involves analyzing current processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and leading change initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, member/customer satisfaction, and long-term profitability. The position works closely with senior management and department heads to drive innovation and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Lead the development and implementation of a strategic business improvement framework aligned with the Society's overall vision and objectives.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of current business processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for enhancement.
  • Design and propose practical solutions and new workflows to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate service quality.
  • Lead and manage improvement projects from planning through to execution and monitoring, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and measurement systems to track the effectiveness of improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation across all departmental teams within the Society.
  • Provide regular, clear reports to senior management on project progress, achieved results, and future recommendations.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices in business development and improvement, particularly within the retail/cooperative sector.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA) will be a strong advantage.
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years of professional experience in business development, process improvement, or project management, with a significant portion in leadership positions.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading transformative improvement initiatives in organizations of similar size and scope.
  • Strong proficiency in process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Total Quality Management (TQM).
  • Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the cooperative society or retail sector context in the Gulf region will be highly regarded.
