Chef De Partie (Asian / Chinese Cuisine) Job in Bahrain

Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Chef De Partie in this role will be responsible for running a specific section (station) of the kitchen with a focus on preparing and presenting authentic, high-quality Asian and Chinese dishes. The core responsibilities will include:
- Directly supervising the preparation and cooking of all Asian and Chinese dishes for your assigned section, ensuring strict adherence to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety (HACCP).
- Contributing to menu development by proposing new and innovative dishes that cater to customer tastes and enhance the restaurant's identity.
- Supervising Commis Chefs and junior staff within the section, training them on correct Asian cooking techniques and work standards.
- Ensuring all ingredients used are fresh and of the required quality, and assisting in monitoring inventory levels and requisitions for the section.
- Working closely with the Sushi Chef (if applicable), Wok Chef, and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen service during peak periods.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work station and equipment continuously according to public health standards.
- Adhering to and accurately executing instructions from the Executive Chef or Head Chef.
Qualifications and Essential Requirements
To qualify for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:
- Proven practical experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar position (Chef De Partie or Cook) within high-level Asian or Chinese restaurants.
- Deep knowledge and strong understanding of Asian and Chinese cooking techniques, core ingredients, and distinctive flavor profiles.
- Ability to prepare a wide range of dishes, which may include (but is not limited to): stir-fry dishes, deep-fried items, steamed dishes, soups, and traditional sauces.
- Excellent organizational and management skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team spirit, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop.
- Strict commitment to hygiene and food safety standards.
- Recognized culinary training certificates are preferred.
- Proficiency in English for communication within a diverse team; knowledge of Arabic is an additional advantage.
