The appointed Chemist will be placed within the Quality Control department or the central laboratory of the factory. • Accurately recording and analyzing laboratory data, and preparing periodic technical reports on test results and any deviations from set specifications.
• Contributing to technical investigations to resolve quality-related issues arising during production and proposing corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensuring the regular maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to maintain the accuracy and reliability of results.
• Strict adherence to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols within the laboratory and production area environments.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or a closely related field. A higher degree (Master's) or extensive experience in a similar field may be preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 to 5 years of practical experience in chemical analysis, with preference given to experience in one of the following sectors:
  • Bottled water or beverage manufacturing.
  • Food and pharmaceutical industries.
  • Environmental or water quality control laboratories.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on knowledge of specialized laboratory equipment such as pH meters, conductivity meters, turbidimeters, as well as volumetric and gravimetric titration techniques. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 22000, ISO 9001) is a strong added advantage.
