Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Civil Engineer will be based at the company's primary work sites in the Manama, Seef, and Al Muharraq areas. The core responsibilities of this role will encompass the following engineering and supervisory tasks:

• Directly supervise construction and building operations on-site to ensure compliance with approved technical specifications and designs.
• Read, analyze, and interpret engineering blueprints, structural drawings, and project specifications.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate available resources, including materials, equipment, and workforce, to achieve project objectives within the stipulated timeline.
• Monitor the quality of materials used and construction methodologies to ensure they meet the highest applicable local and international standards of quality and safety.
• Prepare regular technical progress reports, document field notes, and resolve technical problems that may arise during execution.
• Coordinate with various project stakeholders, including consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure the implementation of all occupational health and safety procedures on the work site to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Assist in preparing material quantities, taking off, and financial measurements related to civil works.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be eligible for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in the contracting and construction field, with preference given to experience in infrastructure or commercial/residential building projects.
• Comprehensive practical knowledge of modern construction materials, methods, and local building codes in Bahrain.
• Proficiency in using computer-aided design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong leadership, field supervision skills, and the ability to manage a work team.
• Ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of Arabic is a distinct advantage.
• A recognized professional certification (e.g., PMP, membership in an engineering body) will be highly regarded.
