Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed engineer will be responsible for the critical technical aspects of ensuring the proper and safe operation of industrial automation systems. Key responsibilities include:

• Planning & Execution: Leading and executing the commissioning and final testing processes for control systems based on the Rockwell ControlLogix PLC platform at client sites or the agency's industrial facilities.
• Configuration & Programming: Configuring and programming advanced ControlLogix PLC hardware and Flex I/O modules to implement required control logic for production lines and industrial processes.
• Inspection & Testing: Conducting pre-commissioning checks, functional safety tests (FAT/SAT), and integration tests between the control systems and field equipment such as motors, sensors, and actuators.
• Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Diagnosing and resolving complex issues arising during commissioning and testing phases, working under pressure to maintain project timelines.
• Documentation & Training: Preparing detailed commissioning and testing reports, documenting all software and configuration changes. Providing technical support and basic operational training to the client's operations team upon handover.
• Quality Assurance: Adhering to the highest industrial quality and safety standards practiced in the Kingdom and relevant international benchmarks.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Control & Automation Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of proven hands-on experience in commissioning industrial automation systems, with a strong focus on working with Rockwell Automation products.
• Specialized Technical Expertise:
  • Deep practical proficiency in programming and configuring Rockwell ControlLogix PLCs using Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000 software.
  • Hands-on experience in configuring and integrating Flex I/O modules within control architectures.
  • Strong understanding of Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and industrial communication networks (e.g., EtherNet/IP, ControlNet).
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) (e.g., FactoryTalk View) is a significant advantage.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written), with the ability to work effectively both in a team and in a dynamic project environment. The candidate must be capable of working independently with effective time management.
• Additional Conditions: Applicants must possess a valid residency permit (transferable iqama) in Saudi Arabia or be eligible to obtain a Saudi work visa. Preference will be given to candidates already located in Riyadh or ready for immediate relocation.
