A leading and confidential company in Qatar is actively seeking to hire a Contract Senior Planning Engineer (PWA Approved) for a major role in Doha. Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The selected engineer will be placed in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment, responsible for the vital aspects of project planning and ensuring adherence to schedule and budget. Core responsibilities include:

• Developing, updating, and monitoring comprehensive project schedules using specialized software like Primavera P6, ensuring full compliance with Public Works Authority (PWA) standards.
• Preparing periodic progress reports, analyzing variances between actual performance and the baseline schedule, and providing necessary recommendations for corrective action.
• Working closely with project managers, engineering and execution teams, and contractors to ensure integrated work plans and a common understanding of the project's critical path.
• Participating in risk analysis of potential schedule impacts and developing mitigation plans and workarounds.
• Providing technical support during tender stages by preparing preliminary schedules and analyzing contractor submissions.
• Ensuring full compliance with all conditions, technical specifications, and regulations mandated by Qatar's PWA and other relevant authorities.
• Attending regular meetings with clients and contractors, presenting progress reports and schedule status clearly and effectively.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering field from a recognized university.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 8 to 10 years of hands-on experience in project planning, with a proven track record on major infrastructure projects (roads, bridges, tunnels, sewage, etc.).
• Professional Certification: Possession of a valid Qatar Public Works Authority (PWA) Approval is a mandatory and primary requirement for this application.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 for advanced scheduling management. Solid knowledge of Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office suite.
• Soft Skills: Excellent analytical abilities, strong attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work under pressure and deliver reports within strict deadlines.
• Preference: Previous experience working within the State of Qatar, with knowledge of the local market and government procedures, will be a significant advantage.
