  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory for the gardemanger section, reporting needs, and ensuring efficient use of materials to minimize waste.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other kitchen team members, including the Sous Chef and other station cooks, to ensure smooth workflow, especially during peak periods.
  • Maintenance and Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and equipment according to the highest sanitary standards.

Qualifications and Key Requirements

  • Practical Experience: Proven work experience of at least 2-3 years in a similar role (Cook, Commis) within a Gardemanger or cold kitchen section in a hotel or upscale restaurant kitchen.

  • Practical Skills: Proficiency in using kitchen tools, and skilled in cutting, shaping, and garnishing.

  • Physical Ability: Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Personal Skills: Team spirit, reliability, ability to work under pressure, and attention to detail.
