- Daily preparation of fresh ingredients and ensuring the workstation is set up according to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety (HACCP).
- Executing and preparing dishes as per the established hotel menus and standard recipes, maintaining consistency in quality, taste, and presentation.
- Assisting in the development of new dishes and ideas for seasonal menus in collaboration with the kitchen team.
- Operating efficiently under pressure during peak meal service periods (lunch and dinner) to ensure timely delivery of food orders.
- Maintaining optimal organization and cleanliness in the work area, including equipment and preparation surfaces.
- Strict adherence to all occupational health and safety procedures enforced within the hotel.
- Assisting in monitoring inventory levels and reporting any shortages of essential items.
Essential Qualifications & Requirements
To be considered a suitable candidate for this ACCOR opportunity in Kuwait, you should meet the following criteria:
- Proven previous work experience of 1-3 years as a Commis Cook or Cook in a hotel restaurant or high-end hospitality establishment.
- Practical knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisine.
- A solid understanding of food hygiene and safety principles.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on flexible shift schedules, including public holidays and weekends.
- A positive attitude, resilience, and a strong work ethic to perform under pressure.
- Good communication skills.
