Key Expected Responsibilities and Duties

• Cost Control: Track and analyze actual costs for various projects or departments against approved budgets, identifying any negative or positive variances.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA) are a strong added advantage.
• Work Experience: Proven experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a similar role as a Cost Controller or Estimator, preferably within a holding company, construction/contracting, or industrial sector environment.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables). Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems like SAP or Oracle is a significant plus.
• Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex data and numbers and translate them into actionable insights and information.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail: A strong focus on precision in all estimation and reporting processes.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Arabic & English) to present reports and explain findings to non-financial teams.
• Local Knowledge: A good understanding of the business environment and cost market in Kuwait or the Gulf region is beneficial.
