Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Country Manager will be placed at the helm of leadership, directly responsible for all aspects of the company's operations in Bahrain. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Leadership: Developing and executing the comprehensive strategic plan for the company in Bahrain, aligning with the global group's vision and objectives.
- Financial Performance Leadership: Assuming P&L responsibility for the branch. Monitoring key financial indicators (KPIs) and taking corrective actions to ensure targets are met.
- Operations Management: Overseeing all daily operational activities to ensure efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with local and international standards.
- Team Leadership & Development: Guiding and leading the local management and staff teams. Fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and motivation, and investing in talent development.
- Business Development: Identifying growth and expansion opportunities within the Bahraini market. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners, suppliers, and relevant government entities.
- Risk & Compliance Management: Ensuring all company operations comply with local Bahraini laws and regulations, and proactively managing operational and financial risks.
- Reporting: Providing regular and clear reports to senior management at headquarters on performance, strategies, challenges, and opportunities.
Qualifications and Core Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: A proven track record of at least 10 years in senior management roles, with a minimum of 5 years in a Country Manager or similar leadership position with full P&L responsibility. Experience in the Bahraini or GCC market is highly preferred.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field. A Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a recognized leadership qualification is a significant advantage.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead and motivate diverse teams towards common goals. Excellent communication and persuasion skills at all levels.
- Strategic & Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of strategy development, market analysis, financial statement interpretation, and analytical decision-making.
- Commercial Skills: A strong track record in business development, market share growth, and building strategic business relationships.
- Language: Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Arabic is a strong asset.
- Personal Attributes: High integrity, resilience to work under pressure, complex problem-solving ability, and a proactive mindset.
