Key Responsibilities and Duties
The successful candidate will be entrusted with a range of important operational tasks, including but not limited to:
- Assisting in the receiving process of incoming shipments of goods and materials at the distribution center.
- Participating in the sorting and initial inspection of apparel and products against lists and orders.
- Supporting the warehouse team in organizing and storing goods correctly in designated locations, maintaining warehouse order and tidiness.
- Assisting in order picking and packing preparations for shipment according to packing guidelines.
- Utilizing basic inventory systems and technical applications to help update stock records.
- Strictly adhering to all health and safety procedures within the distribution center and warehouse.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to achieve required productivity and accuracy targets.
- Performing any other related logistical or administrative duties as required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A high school diploma (Secondary School Certificate) as a minimum. A diploma or qualifications in logistics management, supply chain, or business fields are preferred.
- Experience: 0 to 2 years of previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics environment is preferred. Enthusiastic fresh graduates willing to learn and start in this field may also be considered.
- Personal Skills:
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail when handling goods and numbers.
- Good communication skills (basic Arabic, and acceptable English).
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as individually under supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment.
- Positive attitude and a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Excel) is an added advantage.
