Supervisor for a Delivery Company in Kuwait

Job Description and Responsibilities
The successful supervisor will occupy a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and highly efficient execution of delivery operations. Key responsibilities will focus on the direct supervision of a team of delivery drivers and warehouse personnel, while adhering to the highest standards of customer service and operational performance.
Core responsibilities include:
- Daily supervision of delivery team activities and scheduling to optimize coverage of target areas.
- Monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the delivery team, such as on-time delivery rates and customer satisfaction.
- Distributing daily tasks to drivers and ensuring all orders are fulfilled according to priorities and deadlines.
- Intervening to resolve any issues faced by the team during delivery operations, such as delays or customer-related problems.
- Ensuring team compliance with safety protocols, traffic regulations, and applicable labor laws in Kuwait.
- Training new team members and providing ongoing coaching to enhance their skills and performance.
- Coordinating with other departments such as customer service and warehousing to ensure a smooth flow of information and goods.
- Preparing periodic reports on team productivity, any incidents or challenges, and proposing improvement plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:
Essential Requirements:
- Proven work experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a supervisory or similar leadership role, preferably within the delivery, logistics, or supply chain sector.
- Deep understanding of last-mile logistics operations and fleet management within the local context of Kuwait.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a team towards achieving targets.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in Arabic and English.
- Good knowledge of tracking applications and operations management technologies (e.g., ERP systems, delivery management software).
- Flexibility to work overtime or on weekends as required, as the delivery sector operates around the clock.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A university degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Previous experience dealing with e-commerce platforms and online order delivery.
- Knowledge of the road network and different geographical areas in Kuwait.
