Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed Duct Man will be deployed to work on construction or maintenance projects across various sites in the State of Kuwait. The core responsibilities will be practical and technical, focusing on:

• Fabrication: Cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal (galvanized steel, aluminum) ductwork components according to provided technical drawings and specifications.
• Installation: Performing field installation of ductwork systems, including safely hanging and securing ducts in compliance with safety standards and local building codes.
• Insulation: Applying thermal and acoustic insulation materials to ductwork as required to ensure system efficiency and prevent condensation.
• Connection & Assembly: Connecting ductwork to Air Handling Units (AHUs), fans, diffusers, and grilles using appropriate fasteners and sealing materials.
• Quality Inspection: Ensuring all joints are airtight and free from leaks that could compromise HVAC system performance.
• Maintenance & Repair: Assisting in periodic maintenance or troubleshooting and repairing existing ductwork systems.
• Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to all site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and wearing mandated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be a suitable candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Proven Experience: Previous demonstrated experience in a similar role as a Duct Man or HVAC installation helper. Experience within the Kuwaiti or Gulf job market is highly preferred.
• Trade Skills: Proficiency in manual skills and the use of tools specific to ductwork fabrication and installation (e.g., snips, drills, screwdrivers, rivet guns, etc.).
• Physical Ability: Good physical fitness to work on construction sites, stand for extended periods, and handle tools and materials.
• Technical Understanding: Basic ability to read and interpret HVAC layout and shop drawings.
• Reliability: Punctuality, professional demeanor, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team under the supervision of an engineer or foreman.
• Residency Status: Preference will be given to candidates already residing in Kuwait with a valid transferable residency permit (transferable visa) or those ready to join on a new work visa.
