Electrical & BMS Draftsman Job in Kuwait

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this position will be entrusted with a range of precise technical responsibilities, including:

• Preparing and developing detailed technical drawings for electrical systems projects using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD.
• Drafting layouts for electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, grounding, and protection systems.
• Creating specialized drawings for Building Management Systems (BMS) that control HVAC, lighting, security, and other mechanical/electrical systems within a building.
• Reviewing initial sketches and technical specifications from engineers and converting them into clear, accurate, and executable drawings.
• Updating existing drawings and maintaining an organized archive of all technical documents.
• Collaborating closely with electrical engineers, mechanical systems engineers, and the project team to ensure drawing accuracy and alignment with design requirements.
• Ensuring all drawings comply with local Kuwaiti standards and applicable technical regulations.
• Preparing preliminary Bills of Quantities (BOQ) related to electrical materials and BMS components as needed.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Computer-Aided Design (CAD), or any related technical field.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in drafting electrical systems drawings. Experience with Building Management System (BMS) drafting is a significant competitive advantage.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD software (recent versions).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical principles, symbols, and technical terminology.
  • A good understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), their components, and their representation in drawings.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
• Soft Skills:
