Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The Electrical QA/QC Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring all electrical work on-site adheres to international standards, approved construction codes, and the stringent quality requirements of both the company and the client. Key responsibilities will include:

• Inspection & Monitoring: Conducting routine and ongoing inspections of electrical works during various installation and execution phases at the project site.
• Specifications Compliance: Verifying that all electrical materials, equipment, and installation methods conform to engineering design drawings, contract technical specifications, and relevant standards (e.g., IEEE, NEC, or local Omani standards).
• Quality Documentation: Preparing and organizing daily inspection reports, Material Inspection Reports (MIR), Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), and any other QA/QC-related documentation.
• Material Inspection: Inspecting incoming electrical materials and equipment at the site to ensure they meet required specifications and possess necessary certifications (factory certificates, test reports).
• Testing & Commissioning: Participating in witnessing and reviewing circuit tests, insulation resistance tests, earth continuity tests, and initial equipment functional tests.
• Team Coordination: Working closely with project engineers, subcontractors, and the HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) team to promptly address any quality or safety-related issues.
• Safety Assurance: Ensuring all electrical work is performed according to the highest site safety standards to prevent accidents.

Qualifications & Requirements

To qualify for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A university degree (Bachelor's) will be a distinct advantage.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role as an Electrical QA/QC Inspector, preferably within construction, industrial, or oil & gas projects in the Gulf region, with good knowledge of Omani market requirements.
• Professional Certifications: Possession of recognized certifications in Quality Assurance/Quality Control (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, certifications from bodies like ASQ) or electrical safety certifications is highly preferred.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of electrical safety codes and regulations, cable and electrical equipment specifications, and electrical installation drawings (Single Line Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams).
• Personal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication and reporting skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic project environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Other: Applicants must possess a valid residency permit for the Sultanate of Oman and be willing and able to work at project sites in Ibri and Nizwa.
