Engineer III - Civil (Transmission & Distribution Projects)

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The appointed Civil Engineer (Level III) will be based at the company's Transmission & Distribution project sites. The core responsibilities of this role include:

• Overseeing the civil engineering aspects of infrastructure projects related to electrical power transmission and distribution.
• Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, designs, technical specifications, and documentation for civil works.
• Coordinating effectively with other project teams, including electrical engineers, project engineers, and contractors to ensure integrated project execution.
• Providing on-site supervision of construction activities, ensuring compliance with approved specifications, drawings, and safety plans.
• Monitoring the quality of materials and construction methodologies, enforcing adherence to the highest industry standards.
• Preparing regular technical progress reports, identifying potential challenges or risks, and proposing practical solutions.
• Contributing to the technical evaluation and review of contractor submissions and bids.
• Ensuring strict compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations throughout all project phases.

Qualifications & Essential Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized and accredited university.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of hands-on professional experience in civil engineering. Prior experience in major infrastructure projects is essential, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the energy sector, oil & gas, or projects involving towers, foundations, and related structures.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in engineering design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD) and project management tools. In-depth knowledge of international and local standards and codes for civil construction.
• Personal Skills: Excellent leadership abilities and a proven track record of working effectively within a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, especially under pressure. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Other Requirements: Previous work experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is a significant advantage. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
