Job Overview

The Environmental Supervisor will be stationed at Teyseer Services' operations site in Ras Laffan. The primary responsibility will be to monitor and implement environmental policies and procedures to ensure all operational activities comply with local and international laws, regulations, and the company's internal standards for sustainability and environmental protection.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Directly supervise routine environmental monitoring operations at the industrial site.
• Ensure compliance with all Qatari environmental legislation, including those issued by the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and other regulatory bodies.
• Conduct periodic inspections and audits to assess environmental performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare periodic reports on environmental indicators (e.g., air quality, waste management, wastewater) and present them to management.
• Investigate environmental incidents or non-conformances and propose and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Raise awareness and train site employees and workers on environmental best practices and related safety procedures.
• Participate in developing and updating environmental emergency plans and ensuring team readiness to handle potential incidents.
• Coordinate with other departments (such as Operations, Maintenance, and Safety) to integrate environmental considerations into all activities.
• Review and assess the environmental impact of new projects or operational changes.

Essential Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in environmental supervision, with preference given to experience in the industrial, oil & gas, or petrochemical sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) systems and procedures and international standards such as ISO 14001.
• Strong understanding of Qatari and Gulf environmental regulations.
• Strong technical reporting and data analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in both Arabic and English.
• Leadership skills and the ability to manage a team and work under pressure.
• Applicants must have a valid residency permit in Qatar (for current residents) or be willing to relocate to Qatar.
