Job Description

The Estimator will hold a pivotal role within the company's team. The primary responsibility will be to analyze interior design and architectural project plans to determine accurate costs for materials, labor, and time required. This role acts as a critical link between the design team, execution team, and financial management, ensuring projects are financially viable and accurate before commencement.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Analyze project drawings, tender documents, and client requirements with a high degree of accuracy.
• Prepare detailed and comprehensive cost estimates for interior design and fit-out projects, including material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate and current quotations for materials and services.
• Utilize specialized software and measurement tools in the preparation of estimates.
• Review and assess project scope changes and update financial estimates accordingly.
• Prepare reports and deliver professional proposals to clients or senior management.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, designers, and engineers to ensure alignment between design and budget.
• Contribute to the improvement of estimation processes and the development of a price database for materials and services.

Requirements and Qualifications

Educational Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or equivalent), Construction Management, or a related field.

• Proven practical experience of at least 3 to 5 years in a similar role (Estimator) within the interior design, decoration, or building fit-out sector in the United Arab Emirates or the Gulf region.
• In-depth knowledge of local construction and finishing materials markets, their prices, and suppliers.
• Experience in reading and understanding engineering drawings, architectural plans, and detailed schematics.

Personal and Technical Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly Excel.
• Practical knowledge of specialized estimation software (e.g., CCS Candy, BuildSoft, or similar).
• Exceptional analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic (advantageous).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive financial data.
