Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Executive will be integrated into a vital department focused on strategic sourcing and outsourcing operations. The core responsibilities of this position will include:

• Managing and Developing Sourcing Strategies: Researching new garment and textile suppliers and manufacturers locally, regionally, and internationally, assessing their capabilities, quality, and pricing.
• Leading Contracting and Outsourcing Processes: Overseeing the end-to-end contracting process with external factories and suppliers, from initial negotiations to signing agreements and monitoring execution.
• Quality Control and Compliance: Establishing stringent quality control benchmarks and ensuring all sourced products comply with agreed specifications and safety standards.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, sustainable working relationships with a network of suppliers, addressing any challenges or disputes that may arise.
• Cost Analysis and Optimization: Conducting detailed cost analyses and working to optimize procurement processes to achieve savings while maintaining high quality.
• Cross-Departmental Coordination: Working closely with design, marketing, logistics, and warehouse teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials and finished products.
• Supplier Performance Monitoring: Developing and implementing systems to regularly evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as quality, on-time delivery, and cost.
• Market Trend Research: Keeping abreast of the latest trends in the apparel market, raw materials, and manufacturing technologies to provide proactive recommendations.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a successful candidate for this executive role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related field. Higher qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a similar field, such as garment sourcing, fashion supply chain management, or procurement within the apparel retail sector.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel), and knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems related to procurement and inventory.
• Personal Skills:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in both Arabic and English (verbal and written).
  • Strong analytical ability to assess data and make informed decisions.
