ASQ International, a leading global education recruitment agency, is inviting applications for qualified Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Primary School Teachers to join prestigious international schools in Kuwait. This is an ideal opportunity for experienced and passionate educators looking to advance their careers within a dynamic, multicultural educational environment in one of the Gulf region's prominent educational landscapes.

Job Description

Successful teachers will join the esteemed faculty of accredited international schools in Kuwait. Key responsibilities will include designing and implementing engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans that focus on the holistic development of young children in the EYFS or cover core primary curriculum subjects. Teachers will be expected to foster a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages a love for learning and exploration.

Day-to-day tasks involve lesson preparation, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and collaborating closely with fellow teachers and parents to ensure the best educational outcomes for each child. Participation in school extracurricular activities, meetings, and professional development is also expected.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be eligible for this opportunity, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Academic Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject area. A Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) or equivalent teaching qualification is highly preferred.
  • Professional Certification: Applicants must possess a recognized teaching license/certification from their home country or an equivalent accrediting body.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in either Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or Primary education, preferably within an international school setting or following a British curriculum (e.g., English National Curriculum).
  • Personal Skills: A strong passion for teaching and the ability to inspire young learners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with both children and adults. Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a new cultural environment.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written, as it is the primary medium of instruction.

Benefits & Compensation

International schools in Kuwait typically offer competitive benefits packages for international teachers, which may include (with the final details being specific to the hiring school):

  • A competitive, tax-free monthly salary.
  • Furnished accommodation or a suitable housing allowance.
  • Annual return flight tickets for the teacher and sometimes for dependents.
  • Comprehensive medical insurance coverage.
  • Transportation allowance.
  • Opportunities for professional development and training.
  • A two-year renewable employment contract.
