F&B Accountant (Male) Job in Kuwait

KUWAIT JOBS HERE is currently seeking a qualified male professional to fill the position of F&B Accountant in Kuwait. This role presents an excellent opportunity for experienced accountants within the hospitality and food service sector to join a dynamic and evolving work environment.

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The successful accountant will be responsible for managing and executing all financial and accounting aspects related to Food & Beverage operations. Core responsibilities include:

• Daily Accounts Management: Accurately and timely recording all financial transactions related to sales, purchases, inventory, and operational expenses for the F&B division.
• Cost & Inventory Control: Analyzing food and beverage costs (COGS) and turnover rates. Monitoring physical inventory levels and reconciling them with accounting records to minimize waste and discrepancies.
• Financial Reporting: Generating periodic financial reports (daily, weekly, monthly) showcasing restaurant/outlet performance, including sales reports, profit margins, and variance analysis against budgets.
• Bank Reconciliation: Performing regular reconciliation of bank statements with internal records.
• Invoice & Receivables Management: Following up on customer invoicing (if applicable) and accounts receivable. Also, verifying supplier invoices and arranging payments according to financial policies.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensuring compliance with the company's internal accounting policies and local standards. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements for internal or external audits.
• Management Support: Providing financial insights and analysis to assist the management team in making informed decisions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Key Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Gender: Male candidate required (as per the job posting).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: Proven work experience of 3-5 years in accounting, with a strong preference for prior experience in the restaurant, hotel, or hospitality (F&B) industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, Vlookup).
  • Experience with accounting software and financial systems (e.g., ERP - SAP, Oracle, or restaurant-specific software).
  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting practices.
• Soft Skills:
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work within a team.
  • Integrity and reliability in handling sensitive financial data.
• Other Requirements: Proficiency in English (reading and writing) is essential. Knowledge of Arabic may be an added advantage.

Job Location

The position is based in the State of Kuwait. Work may require presence at the company's main office or at one of its affiliated Food & Beverage outlets.
