Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The F&B Support Expert will be stationed at one of Marriott's numerous hotels in Oman, which may include locations in Muscat, Salalah, or other key tourist destinations. The role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of the Food and Beverage services, which are at the heart of any luxury hotel guest experience.

The core responsibilities expected for this position include:

  • Providing operational support to all Food and Beverage (F&B) outlets such as restaurants, banquet halls, room service, and bars.
  • Assisting in the setup of event spaces and special arrangements for banquets and functions according to Marriott's high standards.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene (HACCP) standards in all food and beverage handling processes.
  • Interacting with guests professionally, understanding their requests, and assisting in resolving any inquiries or challenges to ensure complete satisfaction.
  • Working closely with the kitchen staff, waiters, and supervisors to ensure efficient and coordinated workflow.
  • Assisting with inventory, receiving goods, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work and storage areas.
  • Participating in periodic training sessions to stay updated on the latest service standards and brand procedures.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous practical experience in the Food and Beverage service sector within the hospitality industry (hotels, restaurants, resorts).
  • A strong understanding of luxury hotel service standards and guest etiquette.
  • The ability to work under pressure and during peak times while maintaining calm and efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work during day and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Proficiency in English for basic communication. Knowledge of Arabic is a strong advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (considered an asset but not always mandatory).
  • Experience using Point-of-Sale (POS) systems commonly used in hotels.
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures.
