Job Description and Responsibilities

The successful technician will be placed in a dynamic industrial work environment, with primary responsibilities focused on precise fabrication and welding operations. Field and workshop duties include:

• Performing high-quality welding on various types of metals (iron, steel, etc.) using diverse techniques such as ARC welding, MIG/MAG welding, and TIG welding as per project requirements.
• Accurately reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and technical drawings to fabricate metal components according to specified dimensions.
• Operating and using a wide range of industrial tools and equipment for cutting, bending, shaping, and fabrication, such as saws, shears, presses, and bending machines.
• Assembling fabricated and welded metal parts to create final structures or products, ensuring precision in measurements and alignment.
• Conducting initial inspections of completed work to verify weld quality and compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Participating in periodic maintenance and repair work for existing metal structures or equipment.
• Strict adherence to occupational health and safety procedures on the worksite, and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the work area (workshop) and for all equipment.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To be a suitable candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Proven practical experience in fabrication and welding, typically ranging from 3 to 5 years in a similar industrial environment.
• High proficiency in various welding techniques and the ability to produce clean, strong welds.
• Ability to independently read and interpret engineering blueprints and technical drawings.
• Good knowledge of metal material properties and processing methods.
• Experience in operating hand tools, power tools, and workshop-specific machinery.
• Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, lifting reasonable weights, and working in an environment that may have noise or dust.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety culture.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a team.
• Possession of recognized vocational training certificates in welding or metal fabrication is preferred.
