Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of precise technical and industrial tasks, including:

• Accurately reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Measuring, marking, and cutting metal materials (such as iron, steel, aluminum) using powered saws, shears, and other cutting tools.
• Shaping and bending metal to achieve required dimensions and shapes as per design specifications.
• Performing various welding operations (e.g., Arc Welding, MIG/MAG, TIG) to assemble and join metal structures and components.
• Inspecting welded pieces to ensure weld quality, adherence to standards, and safety requirements.
• Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces before and after welding operations.
• Maintaining and inspecting work tools and equipment (e.g., welding machines, helmets, gloves) to ensure operational safety.
• Strictly adhering to all Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures on the worksite to prevent accidents.
• Collaborating effectively with team members and supervisors to complete tasks within set timelines.
• Tasks may involve assisting with the on-site installation of metal structures when required.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Proven practical experience of at least 3 years in metal fabrication and welding.
• Practical proficiency in key welding techniques and the ability to produce strong, clean welds.
• Ability to read and understand technical and engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of the properties of different metal materials and their processing methods.
• Physical fitness to perform tasks requiring prolonged standing, lifting weights, and working in industrial environments.
• Strong commitment to occupational safety rules and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Skill in using hand and power tools commonly found in a workshop.
• Possession of recognized professional welding certifications (e.g., from AWS or equivalent) is a significant advantage.
• Preference will be given to applicants currently residing in Kuwait and eligible for transfer of sponsorship.
