Job Overview

The Facilities Engineer will be integrated into the facility management team, with core responsibility for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of building systems and infrastructure. Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance operations for various facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and security systems.
• Monitor building system performance and ensure compliance with safety standards, quality benchmarks, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to execute specialized maintenance and repair works.
• Manage maintenance contracts, review technical proposals, and ensure work is completed as per agreed specifications.
• Respond to facility-related emergencies and implement immediate corrective action plans.
• Contribute to energy efficiency improvements and propose sustainability initiatives to reduce operational costs and environmental impact.
• Prepare periodic reports on facility status, work volume, and maintenance-related budgets.
• Ensure the availability of critical spare parts and effective inventory management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in facilities management or engineering maintenance, preferably within a large commercial or institutional setting.
• In-depth knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical schematics.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Arabic (written and verbal).
• Flexibility and willingness to respond to emergency call-outs outside of standard working hours when required.
