Facilities Manager - Residential at Teyseer Services Company (Doha, Qatar)
Teyseer Services Company W.L.L. is currently recruiting for a Facilities Manager - Residential to be based in Doha, Qatar. This is a key leadership role for experienced professionals specializing in the management, operation, and maintenance of large residential complexes within Qatar's dynamic and evolving real estate and services market.
Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Residential Facilities Manager will be the primary person responsible for ensuring the smooth, efficient, and safe operation of one or more of the company's residential complexes. Core responsibilities include:
- Overall Operations Oversight: Leading the maintenance and services team, ensuring all daily and periodic tasks are executed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Management: Developing and implementing proactive maintenance programs for critical building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety systems, elevators, and common infrastructure. This also involves efficiently handling emergency breakdowns.
- Budget & Cost Management: Preparing annual operating and maintenance budgets, monitoring expenditures, and working to optimize operational efficiency to reduce costs without compromising service quality for residents.
- Compliance with Standards & Regulations: Ensuring all facilities comply with local Qatari regulations related to building, safety, health, and the environment.
- Vendor & Contractor Management: Selecting, evaluating, and managing contracts with external suppliers and contractors for specialized services (e.g., cleaning, security, landscaping, specialized maintenance).
- Enhancing Resident Experience: Responding to resident maintenance requests and inquiries professionally and promptly, and working on initiatives to improve the living environment and shared amenities.
- Reporting: Preparing detailed periodic reports for senior management on facility performance, maintenance status, budget, and any incidents or issues.
Qualifications & Essential Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Facilities Management, or a related field. Higher professional certifications are a valuable plus.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in residential or commercial facilities management, with preference given to experience in the Qatar or GCC market. Prior experience managing large residential compounds is a significant competitive advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of building operational and maintenance systems (MEP). Knowledge of Computer-Aided Facility Management (CAFM) systems is a strong addition.
- Leadership & Managerial Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team, manage budgets, and negotiate with suppliers and contractors.
- Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure. A strong focus on customer service (resident satisfaction).
- Local Knowledge: Familiarity with local Qatari regulations concerning building safety and facilities management is essential.
