Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for leading and designing the technical and strategic infrastructure for integrated facility management systems. Acting as a key liaison between business requirements and modern technologies, the architect will ensure the highest standards of efficiency, safety, and sustainability are met. Core responsibilities include:
- Solutions Architecture Design: Develop and design comprehensive architecture for Facility Management solutions (CAFM/IWMS) that align with the strategic business objectives of clients and the company.
- Analysis and Consulting: Conduct in-depth analyses of current facility management operations, identify pain points and improvement opportunities, and provide data-driven consulting recommendations.
- Digital Transformation Leadership: Lead digital transformation initiatives in facility management by integrating technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to create smart buildings.
- Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of solution projects from the concept and planning stages, through design and implementation, to operation and maintenance.
- Systems Integration: Design integrated systems that connect various facets of facility management such as maintenance, energy management, security, and custodial services to create a unified operating platform.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure all designed solutions comply with local and international standards, safety regulations, and best practices in the construction and facilities sector.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (sales, projects, operations), clients, and vendors to ensure the successful implementation of proposed solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this position, you must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Computer Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or advanced professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CFM) is a strong advantage.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in facility management or engineering, with a proven focus on designing and implementing technical Facility Management solutions and systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP PM, ARCHIBUS, etc.). Experience must include direct client-facing work in a consulting or engineering capacity.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep expertise in Building Management/Facility Management systems (BMS/CAFM/IWMS).
- Strong knowledge of energy management and sustainability principles (e.g., LEED certification).
- Solid understanding of IoT, Big Data, and analytics technologies.
- Excellent proficiency with design and analysis software (AutoCAD, Revit, data analysis tools).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and complex problem-solving abilities. High-level communication and presentation skills to interact with all management levels. Leadership qualities and the ability to work in a team while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
