Job Description

The successful supervisor will occupy a pivotal role within the finance team, responsible for planning, monitoring, and analyzing the financial dimensions of major fiber optic network projects. These projects are strategic for enhancing nationwide high-speed optical connectivity.

Key expected responsibilities include:

• Project Finance Oversight: Lead and coordinate the financial planning and budgeting process for fiber infrastructure projects from initial design through to final delivery.
• Financial Analysis & Cost Control: Conduct in-depth cost-benefit and Return on Investment (ROI) analyses, monitor actual vs. budgeted expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial controls for operational efficiency.
• Financial Evaluation & Risk Management: Assess the financial viability of proposed projects, identify and analyze potential financial risks, and develop mitigation plans.
• Coordination & Reporting: Work closely with engineering, procurement, and execution teams to ensure integration between technical and financial aspects. Prepare detailed periodic financial performance reports for senior management.
• Compliance & Governance: Ensure all project financial processes comply with local Qatari regulations and the company's internal policies.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this leadership opportunity, you must meet the following professional standards:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration with a finance focus, or a related field. Advanced professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CPA, CFA) are a significant advantage.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in finance, with a strong focus on major project finance, preferably within the infrastructure, telecommunications, or energy sectors. Previous work experience in Qatar or the GCC region will be highly regarded.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications like SAP or Oracle. Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and financial modeling.
