Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The Lead Field Doctor will occupy a pivotal role ensuring the delivery of the highest standards of medical care in field settings. The expected responsibilities for this role include:

  • Direct Medical Care Provision: Conducting medical examinations, diagnosing conditions, and establishing initial treatment plans for patients at worksites or company-affiliated field clinics.
  • Medical Supervision and Leadership: Providing professional supervision and guidance to a medical team or field assistants, ensuring adherence to established medical protocols and policies.
  • Coordination and Case Management: Acting as a liaison between field services and other healthcare providers or medical institutions to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  • Quality Assurance: Contributing to the development and improvement of field medical protocols, ensuring compliance with local and international accreditation and quality standards in Bahrain.
  • Training and Development: Participating in training activities for the support team to enhance basic medical skills and case response.
  • Reporting: Accurately documenting medical cases and preparing necessary administrative and technical reports for senior management.

Qualifications and Essential Requirements

To be a qualified candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: A Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized university.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid license to practice medicine in the Kingdom of Bahrain, or be immediately eligible to obtain one. Additional medical licenses or recognitions from GCC countries are preferred.
  • Work Experience: A minimum of 5 to 7 years of practical clinical experience, with proven experience in field work, primary healthcare settings, or outpatient clinics. Experience in a leadership or supervisory role will be a significant advantage.
  • Personal Skills: Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills in both Arabic and English. The ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate decisions.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and computer literacy.

Work Environment and Location
