Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of key duties focused on delivering exceptional customer experiences and producing high-quality floral designs. These responsibilities include:

• Floral Arrangement and Design: Creating innovative and attractive flower bouquets and arrangements suitable for various occasions such as weddings, graduations, birthdays, formal events, as well as daily floral designs.
• Customer Service and Consultation: Greeting customers, understanding their needs and preferences, and providing professional advice on selecting appropriate flower types, care instructions, and design layouts.
• Inventory Care: Overseeing the stock of fresh flowers, plants, greenery, and arrangement tools. This involves receiving shipments, inspecting for quality, proper storage, and daily care to ensure maximum longevity of the floral products.
• Shop Display Management: Arranging and displaying flowers, plants, vases, and accessories in the shop in an attractive and artistic manner to encourage sales.
• Sales and Transactions: Processing sales, operating the point-of-sale (POS) system, handling cash and card payments, and packaging products elegantly.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and organization are maintained in the work area and throughout the shop.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be a successful candidate for this position, you should meet the following criteria:

• Practical Experience: Previous proven experience working as a Florist or in a related field such as floral design or retail within the gifting sector is preferred.
• Creative Skills: A natural talent and creativity for design, with an artistic eye for color, form, and composition.
• Floral Knowledge: Good knowledge of different flower types, ornamental plants, foliage, their blooming seasons, and how to care for them to maintain freshness.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and customer service skills with politeness and honesty, coupled with active listening abilities to understand client desires.
• Practical Skills: Manual dexterity in handling sharp tools (floral shears, knives) and arrangement materials, and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure during peak times and holidays.
• Work Availability: Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays, when the industry is at its busiest.
• Personal Attributes: Punctuality, reliability, team spirit, and a positive energy.
• Legal Requirements: Applicants must possess a valid residency permit that allows them to work in the State of Kuwait (if applicable).
