Food and Beverage Director - Hilton Hotels, Kuwait
Hilton Hotels in the State of Kuwait is actively recruiting for a senior management position: Food and Beverage Director. Job Description and Key Responsibilities
The Food and Beverage Director will lead an integrated team and contribute directly to achieving the hotel's financial and operational goals. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive Food & Beverage strategies aligned with Hilton's global brand standards and the hotel's financial objectives. This includes overseeing all restaurants, bars, and other food outlets.
- Quality & Service Management: Ensure the highest standards of food, beverage, and service quality are delivered at all times. This requires setting rigorous standards, conducting continuous staff training, and performing regular inspections to maintain excellence.
- Financial Management: Prepare annual budgets, monitor operational costs (such as cost of goods sold, inventory, and labor), and achieve revenue and profit targets. Analyze financial reports and take corrective action as needed.
- Development & Innovation: Collaborate with culinary teams to develop innovative and appealing food and beverage menus that cater to both local and international market tastes, enhancing the hotel's competitiveness.
- Procurement & Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement of food and beverage supplies, build strong relationships with suppliers, and ensure an efficient inventory management system that minimizes waste and maintains quality.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure full compliance with all local health, safety, and regulatory laws in Kuwait, as well as Hilton's internal operating standards.
- Team Training & Development: Lead, motivate, and develop a large team of managers, chefs, and service staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and exceptional service.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this leadership role, you must meet the following requirements:
- Experience: Proven track record of 8 to 10 years in Food and Beverage management within a luxury hotel environment or fine-dining restaurants, with at least 3 years in a Director or General Manager role.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of kitchen and restaurant operations, cost control, quality assurance, and menu planning. Strong knowledge of bar beverages and hotel services.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead and motivate large, diverse teams, with excellent communication and delegation skills.
- Financial & Analytical Skills: High proficiency in budgeting, analyzing financial data, and making sound business decisions to enhance profitability.
- Personal Attributes: Strong character, innovative spirit, keen attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Tourism, or a related field. Professional certifications in Food and Beverage management will be a significant advantage.
- Language: Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is essential. Knowledge of the Arabic language is a strong advantage in the Kuwaiti job market.
