Job Description and Responsibilities
The successful supervisor will occupy a pivotal role within the Food and Beverage department, responsible for the direct oversight of daily operations in assigned outlets such as restaurants, dining lounges, room service, or banquet events. Key responsibilities will include:
- Operational Supervision: Overseeing the workflow during assigned shifts, ensuring all operations are executed in strict compliance with Hilton's rigorous standards and safety/health procedures.
- Guest Service: Ensuring an exceptional guest experience through superior service levels, effectively responding to any inquiries or complaints, and working to resolve any issues promptly to guarantee complete guest satisfaction.
- Team Management: Directing, training, and developing a team of waitstaff and F&B personnel, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment that motivates high performance.
- Quality Control: Monitoring the quality of food and beverages served, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of work areas and equipment meet the highest standards.
- Administrative Support: Assisting with inventory management and stock control, verifying levels, and reporting any shortages. Participating in the preparation of daily reports related to sales, attendance, and any incidents.
- Compliance: Ensuring team adherence to all hotel policies, local health and safety regulations, and fire safety standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you must meet the following criteria:
- Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 2-3 years in the food and beverage sector, with prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role (such as Team Leader or Assistant Supervisor) within an upscale hotel or fine-dining restaurant.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of food and beverage service standards, knowledge of various beverage types, and familiarity with food safety and health procedures (HACCP).
- Personal Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills (verbal and written) in both Arabic and English.
- Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong customer service orientation and a team-player spirit.
- The ability to motivate and lead a team towards achieving targets.
- Qualifications: A diploma or degree qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field is considered a distinct advantage.
