Front Desk Agent - Safir Hotels & Resorts (Kuwait)

Job Description & Key Responsibilities
The Front Desk Agent will hold a pivotal position as the primary point of contact between the hotel and its valued guests. The core focus will be on ensuring a smooth, comfortable arrival and an enjoyable stay experience for every visitor. Key responsibilities include:
- Guest Reception: Welcoming guests upon arrival and departure in a friendly, professional manner that reflects the high service standards of Safir Hotels.
- Check-in/Check-out Procedures: Efficiently and accurately processing guest check-ins and check-outs, verifying reservation details and identification.
- Customer Service: Promptly and effectively handling guest inquiries, requests, and needs, whether in person, over the phone, or via email.
- Reservation Management: Assisting with creating, modifying, and booking rooms using the Property Management System (PMS), ensuring information accuracy and room availability.
- Financial Transactions: Conducting financial transactions related to stays, including processing payments, issuing invoices, and settling accounts, with strict adherence to hotel financial policies.
- Local Information: Providing guests with accurate and helpful information about hotel facilities and local services in Kuwait, such as restaurants, tourist attractions, and transportation.
- Team Collaboration: Working closely with other hotel departments like housekeeping, security, and food & beverage to ensure all guest needs are met seamlessly.
- Upholding Standards: Ensuring the front desk area is tidy, organized, and professional at all times.
Required Qualifications & Skills
To be a successful candidate for this role in Kuwait's competitive hospitality scene, you should meet the following criteria:
- Education: A diploma or relevant educational qualification in Hospitality or Hotel Management is an advantage.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar front-line role (Front Desk Agent, Customer Service Representative) within the hotel or hospitality sector is preferred. Fresh graduates with a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn may also be considered.
- Personal Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. Proficiency in additional languages is a strong asset.
- A friendly, personable character with a genuine customer service orientation.
- Ability to work under pressure and during peak times while maintaining composure and a smile.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of computer systems and Microsoft Office software. Experience with Property Management Systems (PMS) like Opera Fidelio or Amadeus is a significant advantage.
