Job Description

The successful Interior Designer will be integrated into the HIVE LIVING team to play a key role in creating exceptional residential and commercial spaces. Core responsibilities will include:

• Design & Development: Leading and developing interior design concepts from initial ideation through to final execution, aligning with client vision and HIVE LIVING's brand standards.
• Drawing & Presentation Preparation: Creating detailed floor plans, mood boards, and 3D visualizations using modern design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and the Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
• Project Management: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs are implemented accurately, on schedule, and within the specified budget.
• Material & FF&E Selection: Researching, selecting, and specifying appropriate materials, furniture, lighting, and accessories, ensuring quality and suitability for the design and budget.
• Client Communication: Conducting client meetings to understand needs and expectations, presenting design proposals, and effectively incorporating their feedback throughout various project stages.
• Research & Innovation: Staying abreast of the latest trends, technologies, and materials in the interior design industry both locally and internationally.

Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this prominent role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Academic Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Professional Experience: A proven track record of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in interior design, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing diverse and completed projects. Experience in the UAE or GCC market is a significant advantage.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in core design software including AutoCAD, 3D modeling software (such as SketchUp or 3ds Max), and the Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
• Soft Skills:
  • High creativity and a distinguished aesthetic sense.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work in a team and manage time under pressure to meet deadlines.
