Job Overview

The Functional QA Test Analyst will be integrated into the company's Quality Assurance/Testing team. The primary responsibility will be to ensure that software products and systems meet the highest standards of quality and functionality before release to end-users. This role is critical within the software development lifecycle, directly contributing to the success of technology projects and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Requirements Analysis: Review and analyze business and functional requirements for projects to develop comprehensive and effective test plans and strategies.
• Test Design & Execution: Create and execute functional test cases, regression tests, and integration tests based on design specifications.

• **Test Execution:** Perform various types of testing manually and through automation (where applicable), including functional testing, UI testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  

• Defect Tracking & Management: Systematically identify, log, and track defects and bugs using appropriate issue-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA), working closely with software developers for resolution.
• Test Reporting: Accurately document test results and prepare clear reports on project quality status for stakeholder and management review.
• Continuous Quality Assurance: Contribute to the improvement of QA and testing processes within the team by suggesting and enhancing procedures and tools.
• Effective Collaboration: Work collaboratively with development teams, project managers, and business analysts to ensure a clear understanding of requirements and quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Work Experience: Proven practical experience of at least 3 years in a similar role as a Test Analyst or Software QA Engineer, with a focus on functional testing.
• Technical Knowledge:
  • In-depth understanding of software QA principles and testing life cycles (STLC).
  • Hands-on experience in designing and executing test cases and test scripts.
  • Practical knowledge of defect and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Trello).
  • Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail, Zephyr) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of test automation principles and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) is a strong advantage.
• Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and deductive skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Powerful communication and documentation skills, in English. Arabic is beneficial.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
