Job Description & Key Responsibilities

The General Practitioner will be stationed at the company's facility in Liwa, Sohar, and will be responsible for providing primary and emergency healthcare services to the workforce. The core responsibilities for this role are expected to include:

• Conducting initial medical examinations, diagnosing illnesses, and treating injuries among on-site personnel.
• Providing immediate and appropriate treatment for medical emergencies and minor accidents.
• Managing the on-site medical clinic or health center, including overseeing inventory of medicines and medical supplies.
• Issuing necessary medical reports and maintaining accurate documentation for all cases.
• Offering health advice and awareness to employees regarding occupational health and safety practices.
• Coordinating with company management regarding health policies and preventive procedures.
• Referring patients to hospitals or specialists for more complex follow-up care when required.
• Maintaining full compliance with medical regulations and ethical standards as practiced in the Sultanate of Oman.

Qualifications & Requirements

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) or an equivalent from a recognized university.
• Licensing: Must possess a valid medical license to practice in the Sultanate of Oman, or be eligible to obtain one. Prior experience working in Oman or the GCC region is preferred.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of practical experience in general practice. Experience in industrial clinics, emergency centers, or primary healthcare for large communities is highly advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency cases efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills (Arabic and English).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good knowledge of computer applications and basic medical software.
