Job Description and Key Responsibilities

The appointed Gynaecologist will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive consultative, diagnostic, and treatment services. Key responsibilities will include:

• Providing specialist medical consultations in gynaecology and obstetrics to patients.
• Conducting routine and comprehensive examinations, including pelvic exams, ultrasound scans, and cervical smears (Pap tests).
• Diagnosing and treating a wide range of conditions related to female reproductive health, menstrual disorders, menopausal symptoms, and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
• Managing pregnancy cases from conception through to delivery, providing antenatal and postnatal care.

• Working as part of a multidisciplinary consultancy team, participating in discussions on complex cases.

Job Requirements and Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Medical Degree: Possession of a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent, followed by a specialization degree (Board Certification) in Gynaecology and Obstetrics.
• Valid License: Must hold a valid license to practice medicine in the State of Kuwait, or be eligible to obtain one. This includes credential verification and potentially passing any equivalency exams required by Kuwaiti health authorities (e.g., The Public Health Authority).
• Work Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of post-specialization practical experience in the field of Gynaecology and Obstetrics. Experience in medium to large-scale clinics or hospitals is preferred.
• Personal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues. Ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate decisions. A high degree of empathy and understanding for patient sensitivities.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English for both written and verbal communication. Knowledge of Arabic is a significant advantage for communicating with a broader patient base.
• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems and modern diagnostic technologies.
