Job Overview

The Head Chef will occupy a pivotal leadership role in managing and operating the company's kitchen or catering facilities. The successful candidate will be directly responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food and beverage quality, overseeing the entire culinary team, and managing daily operations smoothly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Leadership & Supervision: Lead, guide, and train the culinary team, delegating tasks to ensure high operational efficiency.
  • Planning & Creativity: Develop and execute diverse and attractive menus that meet client or employee needs, while considering quality and cost.
  • Quality Control: Ensure strict adherence to the highest standards of hygiene and food safety (HACCP) across all stages of storage, preparation, and presentation.
  • Inventory & Cost Management: Oversee purchasing and inventory processes, controlling costs to minimize waste and stay within the allocated budget.
  • Compliance: Ensure full compliance with local health regulations in Saudi Arabia, and all company policies and procedures.
  • Daily Operations: Manage work schedules and ensure the kitchen is fully equipped and operational during service hours.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven practical experience of at least 5-7 years in the culinary field, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar leadership role (Head Chef or Sous Chef).
  • An educational qualification in Culinary Arts or Food Sciences from a recognized institute or academy.
  • Deep knowledge of international and local cuisines, with the ability to innovate dishes.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate a team and work under pressure.
  • Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to manage budgets and control costs.
  • Flexibility in work and shift patterns.

Work Location
