Job Overview

The Head of Data will be responsible for leading and developing the company's comprehensive data strategy. This role will focus on building and implementing advanced data management frameworks, analyzing trends, and delivering actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions across all business units. Key Responsibilities & Duties

• Lead and develop the company's data vision and strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and evolution of a robust data infrastructure and analytics systems.
• Manage a team of data analysts, scientists, and engineers, providing mentorship and professional development.
• Collaborate with department heads (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance) to identify data needs and develop tailored solutions.
• Develop advanced predictive and analytical models to optimize business performance, such as supply chain efficiency, customer experience, pricing, and inventory strategies.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across all systems and platforms.
• Translate complex analytical findings into clear, impactful presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of the latest data trends, technologies, and their applications within the retail and apparel industry.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience of 8-10 years in data management or analytics, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role (Team Lead or Manager level).
• Deep experience in the retail sector, preferably within fashion/apparel, with an understanding of supply chain complexities, inventory management, and consumer behavior.
• Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, and platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Hands-on knowledge of big data technologies, data warehousing, and machine learning.
• Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate a team and drive organizational change.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and complex problem-solving abilities.
