Job Overview

The Head of Operation will be the primary leader responsible for the overall planning, direction, coordination, and supervision of all operational activities within the company. This position plays a central role in ensuring the efficient execution of projects and commercial operations, while adhering to the highest standards of quality, safety, and agreed-upon deadlines. The incumbent will work closely with senior management and various company departments to enhance operational performance and foster growth.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Lead and develop operations teams to ensure operational and financial targets are met.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs.
• Provide direct oversight for the planning and execution of contracting projects and trading activities.
• Ensure full compliance with all local Qatari regulations and laws, as well as health and safety standards.
• Optimally manage resources (human, financial, and equipment) to achieve the best outcomes.
• Develop and analyze operational performance metrics (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior management.
• Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the operations department.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and key clients.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree will be a distinct advantage.
• Minimum of 10 to 15 years of experience in operations management, with a substantial portion in leadership roles within the trading or contracting sector in the Gulf region.
• Proven hands-on experience in Qatar or a similar Gulf market is highly required.
• In-depth knowledge of project management practices, logistics, and supply chain management.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage large, diverse teams.
• Excellent analytical abilities and strong problem-solving skills for complex issues.
• Superior proficiency in English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Arabic will be a significant advantage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
